The Witches’ Thanksgiving
A Samhain gathering · Sunday 1 November · 4pm · Retallack Woodlands
As the light begins to fade, we’ll set out on a Soul’s Quest through the Mossy Realm — a candlelit wandering through Trix’s wonderful woodland world of artworks, creatures and encounters, giving thanks for the Earth and remembering our connection with all that lives.
Then we’ll make our way to the Dragon Barn, gather in the warmth and sit down together for a generous autumn feast from Wild Goose Gourmets.

Ferdinando — Shadow Puppet Theatre

Ferdinando is the Spanish bull who loves to lead a peaceful life in a meadow full of flowers. One day, stung by a bee, Ferdinando transforms into a ferocious bucking monster. Spotted by strangers searching for the fiercest and the best, he is caught and carted off to the bullfight in Madrid…
Based on Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson’s much-loved 1936 story The Story of Ferdinand, Deborah Maurice brings Ferdinando to life through shadows and silhouettes in black and white, with unexpected revelations in colour, accompanied by original music and sound from Kin Thiessen.
Join us at The Goosebarn for this intimate shadow-puppet performance, followed by a glass of wine and a few Spanish-inspired bites — a chance to linger, chat and enjoy the evening after the show.
